1/28 - 10:30am -Tree Branches are Falling!

I was taking video outside when a tree branch fell in the woods. You can't see the actual tree branch fall, but the sound in itself is enough to send shivers up your spine:

Everyone needs to be on alert for falling tree limbs today, especially if you have to drive this afternoon. The weight of the ice on the trees is getting to be too much, along with added weight from the snow.

Several smaller sized trees around my house have sort of snapped in half. I'm amazed I still have electricity.

Same here, our trees look pretty bad. We're happy to have electricity here, but a flicker every once in a while reminds us of how that could quickly change. I'm glad we didn't lose power for more than a few hours last night.

You guys are in our prayers up there in the Ohio Valley. Here in Memphis, we escaped with a 33 degree rain all night long, topped off by a quck inch of snow around daybreak. Could have been much worse. Stay warm and safe!

You guys got really lucky. We were hoping for 33 here in Louisville, but we never made it. The thick ice coupled with 3 inches of snow is really making things difficult.
