59 degrees for a high today feels pretty good after suffering through 40-degree weather for the first half of this week! I'd say that's a return to Spring!
Temperatures will continue to rise for the rest of the workweek, with highs topping out in the mid to upper 60's through Friday. Thunderstorms come into the picture starting on Thursday evening and will continue on Friday. We're under a SLIGHT risk for severe weather from the SPC on Friday:
It's too early to tell exactly how severe these storms will be, but it looks like hail and wind will be the main problems based on current shear indications. A few tornadoes are also possible, so keep those weather radios in alert mode!
We'll clear out for Easter weekend with temperatures in the lower 60's.

Ryan, I have heard that the weak la nina we are in now is gone or is almost gone and we are now headed into neutral enso. This should lead to a warmer pattern in a couple weeks, and increase our chances at more major severe weather outbreaks, correct?
And by major I mean a actual outbreak, not the hit and miss severe weather we have been getting the last couple weeks.
I did a bit of research on this and it looks like a neutral ENSO could indeed liven things up a bit. Going into neutrality tends to shift severe weather threats north of where they've been occurring, which has been in Georgia and Alabama as of late.
It's getting really close to our normal severe weather season, so it will be difficult to tell if the storms are being influenced by the neutral ENSO or by normal springtime patterns.
