Here's the winter forecast video I promised! It took a while to finally get it on the site, but it's there! Expect warm temperatures next week and a sizable cool down before next weekend. Don't forget to set your clocks back 1 hour tonight!

Personally I dislike Accuweather, as I think they will always tell you it will be worse than expected. We'll see how they pan out for the winter. I agree with the warmth leading into winter and actually think it may last into the first part of 2009. Perhaps a late winter shift possible. My main reasoning is that climatologically speaking, whatever the dominant longwave pattern is during a season (especially the last half), will likely persist into the first half of the next season. If you go back in the record books that tends to work pretty well, even though it isn't the most scientifically backed reason.
up here in the midwest, we could see a rain/snow mix possibly from the same cold front! look at the SPC's 4-8 day outlook! any chance you could cover those storms if they become severe?
